Cedillo Seeks to Calm Immigrant Fears in Wake of Trump Victory

Los Angeles—Councilmember Cedillo, Ana Guerrero, Chief of Staff, Office Mayor Eric Garcetti, Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis, community-based and civil rights organizations seek to calm immigrants’ fears of any negative impact to their families in the wake of President Elect Trump’s victory. Councilmember Cedillo goal and other leaders is to show that they are united and will continue to protect and advance the interests of the immigrant community. The State of California, City of Los Angeles, and County of Los Angeles are the most immigrant friendly government bodies in the country. The government will not change what it does for immigrants with the transition of the presidency.
