Cedillo to Be Honored by Cathedral High School
With Commitment to Cathedral Community Award
Los Angeles—Councilmember Cedillo will be honored tonight by Cathedral High School at their 20th Annual Scholarship Dinner. Cedillo will receive the ‘Commitment to Cathedral Community Award.’
Cathedral High School has been educating young men throughout the greater Los Angeles area since 1925. Funds raised from this event will provide scholarships for committed students from predominately Latino and African American households. This year Cathedral High School sent over 80% of its graduating class to four year universities and colleges. Over 25% of the members of the Class of 2017 were admitted to a University of California campus— more than double the state average.
