Eduardo Soriano-Hewitt

Eduardo currently works as Policy Deputy for Los Angeles City Councilmember Gil Cedillo Prior to working for Gil Cedillo, he served in various capacities for Mayor Eric Garcetti and then Council President Garcetti for a total of 7 years. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Eduardo grew up in a progressive multi-cultural household where community service was highly valued. He is named after the first President of Mozambique, Dr. Eduardo C. Mondlane, and derives his middle name from the Filipino author, Carlos Bulason, who authored America is in the Heart.  He is commonly known by his nickname, “Edo” (pronounced “ed-oh”). Eduardo lives in Los Angeles, with his wife, Naima J. Keith and their two young children.
