Cedillo to Honor 25th Anniversary of El Salvador Peace Accords
Brings Consul General and Salvadoran community groups to council for presentation

Los Angeles–Councilmember Cedillo will be joined by the Consul General of El Salvador in Los Angeles, Mercedes Lopez Peña, and Salvadoran community groups to honor the 25th anniversary of the El Salvador Peace Accords. The Chapultepec Peace Accords brought peace to El Salvador in 1992 after more than a decade of civil war. The treaty was negotiated by representatives of the Salvadoran government, the rebel movement FMLN, and political parties, with observers from the Roman Catholic Church and United Nations.
