MEDIA ALERT
LA Justice Fund for City Council Consideration Tomorrow

Los Angeles—Councilmember Cedillo introduced a motion in January, asking the City to identify $2 million to be contributed to the Los Angeles Justice Fund to provide legal representation to immigrants at risk of facing deportation or removal proceedings, who are otherwise unable to afford or access legal services.

The Justice Fund cleared the newly created Immigrant Affairs and Civil Rights Committee, and most recently the Budget and Finance Committee. It now heads to full city council for consideration.

The item can be found on the special agenda.
