Mel Ilomin

Mel Ilomin possesses more than three decades of experience working at the highest levels of state and local government. He joined (then) Assemblyman Gil Cedillo’s staff in 1998, and has remained with him through the Member’s years in the Assembly and the Senate, as well as in the Council, for a total of 20 years. Mel graduated with a BS in Psychobiology and received the Chancellor’s Marshall Award from UCLA and received his Juris Doctor from USC Annenberg School of Law and Masters in Communications Management from the USC Annenberg School of Communications. He wrote and composed the music for a silent 1930’s student film, a Filipino in America and scored the music for a Filipino American musical based on the “America is in the Heart” by Carlos Bulosan.
