Cedillo to Cut Ribbon on Upgraded Gil Cedillo Preschool
To present Plaza de La Raza Child Development Services with a check
Los Angeles—Councilmember Cedillo will join Plaza de La Raza Child Development Services Inc. for the grand re-opening of the Gil Cedillo Preschool site in Lincoln Heights. With the assistance of federal Head Start funds, the Gilbert Cedillo center was completely demolished and renovated. The upgraded center has a new modular, playground, turf, sunshade, landscaping and a new handicapped parking stall. The entire project is in compliance with 2018 ADA standards and has met the City of Los Angeles’ procedures for the Historic Preservation Overlay Zone (HPOZ). The project total was $1,123,671.
The site is opening just in time for the fall session. Councilmember Cedillo will present Plaza de La Raza Child Development Services with a $25,000 check.
